Technical SEO

Technical SEO that clears the path to rankings.

Your best content can't rank if search engines can't crawl, render, or index it, or if the site is too slow to reward. We fix the technical foundation, from Core Web Vitals to crawlability and structured data, so the rest of your SEO can work.

The difference is the foundation

If Google can't crawl it, nothing else you do matters

Technical SEO is the least visible part of the work and often the highest-leverage. A single misplaced noindex, a slow template, or JavaScript that never renders can hold back an entire site, no matter how good the content is. These problems are invisible until you look for them, and they quietly cap everything else.

We find and fix them at the source. Crawlability, indexation, site speed, rendering, and structured data, diagnosed with real data and verified after each change. Get the foundation right, and your content and links finally get the chance to rank they deserve.

What you get

A technically sound site search engines can trust

Crawlable, fast, and indexable, with the structure and markup that let your pages compete on their merits.

  • Crawlability and indexation

Robots rules, XML sitemaps, and crawl-budget fixes so search engines reach your important pages, and index coverage checked so the right ones actually rank.

  • Site architecture and internal links

A logical structure and internal linking that keeps key pages a few clicks deep, so authority flows to them and nothing gets orphaned.

  • Core Web Vitals and speed

LCP, INP, and CLS diagnosed and improved at the source, so pages load fast and stable, which helps both rankings and conversions.

  • Rendering and JavaScript SEO

We confirm your JavaScript content is actually rendered and indexed, so a modern front end doesn't quietly hide pages from Google.

  • Structured data

Schema.org markup for the content types that qualify, so you're eligible for rich results and search engines understand the page.

  • Canonicalization and duplicates

Canonical tags, parameter handling, and duplicate control, so ranking signals consolidate on one URL instead of splitting across many.

  • Mobile-first and HTTPS

Mobile usability, secure HTTPS, and no mixed content, so the site meets the baseline Google indexes and ranks against.

  • Monitoring and fixes

Ongoing checks in Search Console and log data, so new technical issues are caught and fixed before they cost you traffic.

How we work

From crawl to verified fix to ongoing health

A clear path from diagnosing what blocks your site to fixes we prove and then keep watching.

  1. 01

    Crawl & audit

We crawl the site like a search engine, review Search Console and logs, and find what blocks crawling, indexing, and performance.

  2. 02

    Prioritize

We rank the issues by impact on rankings and effort to fix, so the work starts where it recovers the most traffic fastest.

  3. 03

    Fix & implement

We implement the fixes, in code where needed, working with your team or directly, in reviewable changes you can verify.

  4. 04

    Validate

We confirm each fix with the right tool, re-crawls, Search Console, and field data, so we prove the issue is actually resolved.

  5. 05

    Monitor

We keep watching index coverage, Core Web Vitals, and crawl health, so regressions are caught early rather than in a traffic drop.

Why it matters

Technical debt in SEO is a tax on every page

When the foundation is broken, the cost is spread across your whole site: pages that never get indexed, rankings suppressed by slow load times, and ranking signals split across duplicate URLs. You keep investing in content and links, and quietly get less back from all of it than you should.

Fixing the technical layer is often the fastest win in SEO because it unlocks work you've already paid for. Pages that couldn't rank suddenly can, and every future page starts on solid ground. It's not glamorous, but it's usually where the biggest, most durable gains are hiding.

FAQ

Technical SEO, answered

Suspect something technical is holding you back? Book a call and we'll take a look.

What is technical SEO?

Technical SEO is the work that lets search engines crawl, render, index, and rank your site without obstacles. It covers crawlability and indexation, site architecture, page speed and Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, structured data, canonicalization, and mobile and HTTPS health. It's the foundation the rest of SEO stands on: if Google can't access or understand your pages, no amount of content or links will help them rank.

How is technical SEO different from on-page SEO?

On-page SEO optimizes the content of a page, its titles, headings, copy, and keyword targeting, so it matches search intent. Technical SEO makes sure search engines can reach, render, and index that page in the first place, and that the whole site is fast and well-structured. They work together: on-page decides how well a page can rank, technical decides whether it can rank at all.

What are Core Web Vitals, and do they affect rankings?

Core Web Vitals are Google's metrics for page experience: Largest Contentful Paint (loading), Interaction to Next Paint (responsiveness), and Cumulative Layout Shift (visual stability). They're a real, if modest, ranking factor, and more importantly they affect conversions, slow, unstable pages lose users. We diagnose them with field and lab data and fix the causes in the code, not just the score.

Why isn't our site showing up in Google?

Usually one of a handful of technical causes: pages blocked in robots.txt, noindex tags left in place, canonical tags pointing elsewhere, thin or duplicate content being filtered, JavaScript content that isn't being rendered, or a site too new or too slow to be fully crawled. We diagnose the exact reason in Search Console and a crawl, then fix it, rather than guessing.

Does JavaScript hurt our SEO?

Not inherently, but it can. Google can render JavaScript, yet it does so on a delay and not always completely, so content that depends entirely on client-side rendering can be indexed late or missed. We check what Google actually sees and, where it matters, use server-side or static rendering so your content is in the HTML that search engines index reliably.

How is technical SEO different from an SEO audit?

An SEO audit is a point-in-time assessment across technical, content, and backlinks that produces a prioritized list of issues. Technical SEO is the ongoing work of fixing and maintaining the technical side, implementing the changes, verifying them, and monitoring for new problems. An audit tells you what's wrong; technical SEO is largely how the technical part gets put right and kept right.
