A HIPAA-compliant healthcare SaaS that gives clinicians their time back.
We designed and built Medora Health's platform: telehealth, smart scheduling, digital intake, and unified patient records in one secure system that replaced a stack of disconnected tools and let providers focus on care.

The challenge
Great care, held back by disconnected tools
Medora's clinics delivered excellent care, but the software behind them was a patchwork. As the group grew, the gaps between systems turned into no-shows, admin overload, and compliance risk.
Scheduling, intake, notes, and billing lived in separate tools that didn't talk to each other.
No-shows were high, and reminders were sent manually by front-desk staff.
Video visits ran on a consumer tool that wasn't HIPAA-compliant.
Clinicians lost hours each week to admin instead of patient care.
The solution
One secure platform, built around the visit
We unified scheduling, telehealth, records, and billing into a single HIPAA-compliant system, designed with clinicians and shipped in four stages.
- 01
Discovery & compliance mapping
We shadowed clinicians and front-desk staff, mapped every workflow and data flow, and set the HIPAA and security requirements before a line of code, so compliance shaped the design from day one.
- 02
Product design & prototyping
We designed two experiences, a calm patient portal and a fast provider workspace, then tested prototypes with real clinicians to make sure the tool fit how care actually happens.
- 03
Secure, integrated architecture
We built on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure with encryption, RBAC, and audit logging throughout, and integrated telehealth video and existing EHRs over FHIR so data stayed in sync.
- 04
Build, harden & launch
We shipped in reviewable iterations, ran security and load testing, completed a compliance review, and handed over typed, documented code Medora's team owns and extends.
What we built
The features that gave clinicians their time back
Every capability removes admin work or a compliance risk, so the team can spend more time with patients and less with software.
Smart scheduling & reminders
Patients book and reschedule online, and automated SMS and email reminders cut no-shows, freeing front-desk staff from the phone and filling more of the calendar.
Telehealth video visits
Secure, in-browser video consultations with waiting rooms and visit notes, so providers can see patients remotely without bolting on a separate, non-compliant tool.
Digital intake & e-forms
Patients complete history, consent, and insurance forms before they arrive; answers flow straight into the chart, ending clipboards and duplicate data entry.
Unified patient records
A single chart per patient, synced with existing EHRs over FHIR/HL7, so clinicians see the full history in one place instead of stitching systems together.
HIPAA-grade security & audit
Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, and a complete audit trail of every record view and export, so compliance is built into the architecture, not bolted on.
Billing & insurance eligibility
Real-time eligibility checks and clean claim generation reduce denials and rework, so the practice gets paid faster with less back-office effort.

The results
More care delivered, less time on admin
Within a quarter of launch, the platform changed how Medora's clinics run day to day.
- −32%
- Patient no-show rate, from smart reminders and easy rescheduling
- 3×
- Telehealth visits handled per month after launch
- 6 hrs/wk
- Admin time saved per clinician
- 50%
- Faster patient intake with digital forms
- Front desk freed from manual reminder calls
- Telehealth runs in one compliant, branded experience
- Patient history is in one chart, not five systems
- Every record view and export is audited for compliance
“They understood healthcare, not just software. Compliance was handled from the start, our clinicians actually enjoy using it, and we launched telehealth in weeks instead of quarters. It moved our whole roadmap forward.”
